About Jason
I'm Co-founder and Vice President of Product Design at BlackInk. I was previously Visual Design Manager at Fusionapps, a company that builds custom web and mobile applications for startups and enterprises. At Fusionapps, I redesigned the company website and help the company build its brand. I also designed and built the front-end of numerous software applications. I created wireframes, designed the visual look and feel of applications and websites, and coded the HTML/CSS and Js/Jquery before handing things off to a back-end development team.
Web isn't the only thing I do. I have been published elsewhere in a few design books such as Creativity 33 and TrademarksUSA, and won a Maggie Award in 2011 for logo design.
Where I'm From
I grew up in Ventura, California and later moved to Orange County, California where I graduated with a B.F.A. Degree in Graphic Design from California State University, Fullerton in 2003. I met my wife in Florida and eventually headed East to live in New Jersey. We currently live just outside of New York City and have 2 wonderful kids.
My Work Ethic
One of my personal goals is to continually strive for excellence while enabling others to succeed in the workplace. I desire to be a true servant-leader, and lead by example.
What I Believe
I feel blessed to be a designer because I believe in the ultimate creator, God. The precision in God's creation is ever present around us, and to tell you the truth, it blows me away.
